Ian Philip Tozer restaurant director, chef & founder. Ian is a chef restaurateur well-known in the Tokyo dining scene for the last eighteen years and has been instrumental in quite a few of Tokyo’s best independent American restaurant concepts. In 2001 Ian created and opened Roti Roppongi and has subsequently worked very hard to keep it highly rated on Tokyo’s culinary map the results of his efforts have been rewarded and the restaurant maintains a high level of respect within the restaurant community for its consistent high quality food and service. British born, Tozer ventured to Japan in 1986 after ten years in kitchens in the United States. He is very passionate not only in his cooking style but also in all areas of the restaurant constantly striving to develop and maintain his team and keep everything working like clockwork, something not easy to do in the restaurant business.
