Executive Chef Ian Tozer

Ian has been a popular chef well-known in the Tokyo dining scene for 15 years. Born in Britain, Ian ventured to Japan after 10 years running kitchens throughout the United States of America. Ian is passionate about food, and his philosophy in the kitchen is to prepare simple, well-cooked, and flavorful dishes using the best locally-available ingredients. The result? Roti's customers get to experience authentic regional American cuisine which reflects its many diverse ethnic influences, right here in the heart of Tokyo.

Ian opened Roti Roppongi in 2001 and over the last 9 years has worked very hard to keep it well placed on Tokyo's culinary map. The results of his efforts have rewarded Roti with a deserved respect from with-in the Tokyo restaurant community, especially for its consistent quality, food and wine creativity and ability to excel and change with the times. the restaurant can now boast of an ever increasing list of loyal & satisfied customers.

Prior to Roti Ian was instrumental in some of Tokyo's best independently operated American Eateries, places such as The groundbreaking Farm Grill in Shimbashi, The Original West Park Café in Yoyogi Uehara, and Tennoz Isle's T.Y Harbor Brewery to name a few.
